Appleは、3月9日(日本時間10日)に開催されたスペシャルイベントで、腕時計型ウェアラブル端末「Apple Watch」を9ヵ国/地域で4月24日に発売すると発表しました。日本でも同時発売され、4月10日より各国アップルストアで試着・予約開始。

今回、アップルストアに加えて、東京の伊勢丹(新宿本店?)やドーバーストリートマーケット ギンザ (DOVER STREET MARKET GINZA) でも販売。

プレスリリースによると、4月10日より各国アップルストアのほか、パリのギャラリー・ラファイエット、東京の伊勢丹、ロンドンのセルフリッジズにショップ・イン・ショップを出店し、試着可能なプレビューを実施。
発売開始となる4月24日からは、さらに東京のドーバーストリートマーケット ギンザ (DOVER STREET MARKET GINZA)、パリのコレット (colette)、ロサンゼルスのマックスフィールド (Maxfield)、ベルリンのザ・コーナー (The Corner) など主要都市のブティックで販売されるそうです。

Apple Watch will also be available to preview or try on at Galeries Lafayette in Paris, Isetan in Tokyo and Selfridges in London on April 10. Apple Watch will be for sale on April 24 at these select department store shop-in-shops, and at boutiques in major cities across the world including colette in Paris, Dover Street Market in London and Tokyo, Maxfield in Los Angeles and The Corner in Berlin.

アメリカ赤十字社(American Red Cross)は9月9日、新しいモバイルアプリ「Blood Donor」(無料) をリリースしました。

公開リリースされたアプリを含め、アメリカ赤十字社からけっこう幾種類ものモバイルアプリが公開されています。

日本赤十字社でも2013年5月赤十字運動月間の時に「日本赤十字社キャンペーンアプリ」というiPhoneアプリとAndroidアプリが出てたのね。

東京都赤十字血液センターの公式アプリ「日本赤十字社　献血＠東京」もあった。
