Veertu Labsは1月5日(現地時間)、OS X向け仮想化ソフトウェア最新版「Veertu」 1.0.3 をMac App Storeで公開しました。
動作環境は、OS X Yosemite (v10.10)以上を搭載した、2011年以降モデルのMac。

Veertuの特徴は、OS X提供の仮想化フレームワークを活用するとにより軽量＆高速という点にあります。
ゲストOSとして、CentOS、Ubuntu、Debian、Linux Mint、Fedora、OpenBSD、FreeBSDなどをサポートするほか、有料オプションVeertu Premium購入 ($39.99) によりWindows 10/8/7/XPをインストール可能です。
ゲストOSとしてのOS Xサポートは今後の対応を検討中とのこと。

米Adobeは12月28日(現地時間)、最新版Flash Playerプラグインに存在する脆弱性に対応するセキュリティ情報[APSB16-01]を公開し、Flash Player最新版「Flash Player 20」最新版セキュリティアップデートを実施しました。

月例アップデートは毎月10日前後ですが、AdobeによるとFlash Playerに存在するゼロデイ脆弱性(CVE-2015-8651)を悪用する、限定的な標的型攻撃を確認しているため、緊急公開したとです。

Flash Playerのセキュリティ緊急度は、Windows/Macデスクトップランタイム版が優先度1の最高レートとなっており、直ちに適用されることを推奨（例えば72時間以内）。AIRは優先度3。

最新バージョン番号は、Flash PlayerがWindows/Mac向け 20.0.0.267 になります。

Google Chrome内蔵Flash Playerや、Windows 8/8.1向けIE 10/11、Windows 10向けMicrosoft Edge/IE 11内蔵Flash Playerも順次自動アップデートが行われていますので、最新版が適用されているか確認を。

なお、OS Xではシステム環境設定にある「Flash Player」の更新メニューで、バージョン確認やNPAPI/PPAPI版プラグインダウンロードが可能。今回NPAPI(Safari/Firefox用)とPPAPI(Opera/Chromium用)プラグインのバージョン番号が異なりますので、両方インストールしている方はそれぞれ最新版にするよう注意。

米Oracleは12月18日(現地時間)、無料のx86＆AMD64/Intel64仮想化環境「Oracle VM VirtualBox」最新版 5.0.12 をリリースしました。
Windows/Mac/Linux/Solaris版が用意されています。

• Linux Additions: workaround for a systemd problem in conjunction with SELinux which prevented to properly enable the ‘vboxadd’ service during while upgrading the Additions
