地図検索サービス Google マップ のiOS向けアプリ「Google Maps」3.0.0 がリリースされました。

新機能
– ターンバイターン方式ナビ(ベータ版)で距離や到着時刻を表示でき、別経路にもさっと切り替えられます
– 旅行や接続が遅いときに備えて、オフラインマップをカスタムリストに保存できます
– 乗換案内で経路の合計歩行時間、次発のバスや電車を表示できます
– ログインすると、最近保存した場所や検索した場所を[クチコミを書く場所]のリストとして表示できます
– Uberアプリをインストールしておくと、Googleマップから直接開いて経路を比較できます

– GoogleマップアプリからiPhone/iPadの連絡先に直接アクセスできます
– 地図で場所を長押ししてピンをドロップすると、保存や共有ができます
– Google音声検索を使用して、入力せずに検索できます
– スケールバーで地図上の大まかな距離がわかります

Live streaming video by Ustream

米航空宇宙局(NASA)は4月30日、HDカメラを使って国際宇宙ステーション(ISS)から地球の映像をライブ配信する「High Definition Earth Viewing (HDEV)」をUstream経由で提供開始しました。

市販HDカメラ4台を使用し、過酷な状況下で地球のHD映像をリアルタイムで撮影し続け、その模様を地球へライブ配信する実験。資料を見たら、Hitachi/Toshiba/Panasonic/Sonyて、ぜんぶ日本メーカー製ですね(ﾟдﾟ)！

現時点では、2015年10月 (ISS Expeditions Assigned 39/40,41/42,43/44) までの間実施されるようです。

■Research Overview

• The High Definition Earth Viewing (HDEV) investigation places four different commercial high definition cameras external to the International Space Station (ISS) on the Columbus External Facility.
• These cameras video will assess camera quality for space use while taking Earth imagery.
• These cameras assess the hardware’s ability to survive and function in the extreme radioactive environment of Low Earth Orbit (LEO: 地球低軌道).
• Educational outreach has been an important component of the HDEV project through the entire projects life cycle. NASA HUNCH program students fabricated some of the HDEV flight components, and most of the HDEV operation will be performed by students teams.

@lizard_isana さん協力による、名古屋市科学館・プラネタリウムの国際宇宙ステーション(ISS)からの中継映像ページリニューアルが行われ、ISSの現在位置と中継映像を同時楽しめるようになったとのことです。

Googleが提供するオンラインストレージ Google ドライブ(Drive) のiPhone/iPad向けクライアントアプリ「Google ドライブ」3.0.0 (v. 3.0.0.27678) がリリースされました。

先日リリースされた、iPhone/iPadアプリ「Google ドキュメント」や「Google スプレッドシート」ともアプリ連携するようになっています。
