Twitterの@reply (Mentions) や DM 、Facebook コメントなどの新着メッセージをプッシュ通知するiPhone/iPad向けアプリ「Boxcar」（無料）が 4.2 にアップデートされました。iPhone/iPod touch、iPad両方で利用できるユニバーサルバイナリー形式アプリです。
無料でいくつものアカウントを設定でき、広告を表示したくない場合のみアドオン(600円) を購入する必要があります。
4.2 では、クリスマス向けのサウンド4種類が追加 (たぶん期間限定) されたほか、サービスに「Track Update」が登場。これはNORADサンタ追跡情報が更新されるとプッシュ通知されるようです。
