米Yahoo! (yahoo.com) は、インスタントメッセージングサービス「Yahoo! Messenger」のiPhoneアプリ版「Yahoo! Messenger」2.0（無料）を配信開始しました。
※yahoo.com用ですので、Yahoo! JAPAN IDでは利用できません。「Yahoo!メッセンジャー」（無料）をどうぞ。
メジャーバージョンアップした 2.0 では、ビデオ通話やYahoo! Messenger友達との無料音声通話、一般の電話や携帯電話、海外への格安発信 (要Yahoo! Voice Phone Out account) もできるようになっています。
注意書きによると、ビデオ通話はiOS 4.1以上のiPhone 3GS/4が対象のようですね。また、Wi-Fi経由限定とのこと。
このほか、マルチタスキング機能 (iPhone 3GS/4) でのバックグランド動作にも対応など、最新版で以下の機能が利用可能です。
