電動車イスの状態をiPhone上にリアルタイム表示する「iPortal」システム

medGadgetで知りましたが、ニュージーランドのDynamic Controlsが、電動車イスの状態をiPhone上にリアルタイム表示するシステム「iPortal」を開発したことを発表しました。iPortalソリューションについては昨年のドイツ・「国際リハビリテーション・福祉・介護機材展 (REHACARE)」で先に発表。

iPortalは、電動車イス情報をiPhoneやiPod touch上にリアルタイム表示するアクセサリー機器で、Dynamic Controls社のShark SystemやDX、DX2 Systemなどに対応しています。

iPhone/iPod touchには専用アプリ「iPortal Dashboard」（無料）をインストールし、Bluetoot経由で電動車イスのiPortalと通信を行ないます。

アプリでは電動車イスの速度や方角 (iPhone 3GS)、シート位置調整、バッテリー充電状態の表示のほか、もしものエマージェンシーコンタクト機能も付いています。Apple USBポート経由で常にiPhone/iPod touchをフル充電した状態で利用できるのも安心ですね。

なお、iPortalシステムの新版が、ドイツ・デュッセルドルフで今年のREHACARE (レハケア) でお披露目される予定とのこと。
