ネット電話サービスSkypeのiPhone/iPod touch向けクライアントアプリ「Skype」（無料）が 2.1.1 にアップデートされました。
- 3GとWiFiネットワークさえあればどこでもSkypeを使用できます。
- どのWiFiホットスポットからでもSkype同士の無料通話を発信できます。
- 移動中にほかのユーザのログイン状態を確認してインスタントメッセージを送受信できます。
ユニバーサルバイナリー形式ではありませんが、iPadでも利用可能です。7月アップデート時にiOS 4のマルチタスクやiPhone 4のRetinaディスプレイに対応。

- You can now disable IM alerts.
- The dialpad is now more responsive.
- The behavior of the volume, when Skype interacts with other Apps, is now much better.
