パスワード付きPDF書類にも対応しているiPhone/iPod touch向け定番ファイルビューアー「GoodReader for iPhone」（115円）および無料版「GoodReader Lite for iPhone」が 2.8.2 にアップデートされました。
iPad版「GoodReader for iPad」（115円）は今のところ2.8.1のままです。
GoodReader、PDFやテキスト、画像など各種ファイルを閲覧するファイルビューアで、以下のファイルに対応。
- MS Office - .doc, .ppt, .xls and more
- iWork'08/'09
- HTML and Safari webarchives
- High resolution images
- It even does audio and video!
アプリ内課金によるアドオン購入で、以下3種類の機能を追加で利用できるようになっています。
Paid add-on
- Accessing E-mail servers via IMAP or POP3 protocol（115円）
- Server-style access to Google Docs（115円）
- Accessing FTP servers（115円）
2.8.2 では、iPad版のようにiPhone/iPod touchでもiTunesによるUSB経由でのファイル転送に対応。ただし、iOS 4にアップデートしている必要があります。
そのほか、サードパーティー製アプリ内のファイルをGoodReaderでオープンしたり、逆にGoodReader内のファイルを他アプリでオープンできる機能をサポート。こちらもiOS 4必須。
