米大手書店 Barnes & Nobles (B&N) が、大学生向けにWindows/Mac対応電子教科書ビューアソフト「NOOKstudy」を8月公開する予定だそうです。

電子教科書としてのほか、講義の教材やノートなどとしても扱うことができ、バックパックに教科書やノートを詰め込まないで済むメリットも(*'-')。
また、電子教科書は最大40%安い価格(紙の教科書比)で販売されているそうで、教育負担もそれだけ和らぐことになります。
現在、NOOKstudyはペンシルベニア大やネバダ大などいくつかの大学や研究機関にてテスト使用されていて、2010年秋学期にロールアウト予定とのことdesu
