メディア各社によると、米IBMは6月8日（現地時間）、「Lotus Notes/Domino」でiPadへのサポートを追加したと発表しました。
モバイルデバイスからのアクセスを可能にする「Lotus Notes Traveler」機能の一貫として提供されるとのことです。
Key features delivered in Lotus Notes Traveler 8.5.1 include:
- Automatic, two-way, over the air synchronization of Notes email, calendar and contact data
- Stay on top of your email and appointments even while offline
- Scheduled synchronization and data filtering to optimize device usage
- Remote wipe support for lost or stolen devices, and password enforcement and monitoring to help protect confidential data
- Read encrypted email
- Support for multiple device types gives users greater choice
- A no-charge mobile solution for entitled Lotus Notes and Domino customers
また、暗号化されたDominoメールなどをiPad/iPhone上で直接表示できるアプリ「IBM Lotus Notes Traveler Companion」（無料）をリリースしました。
Lotus Notes Traveler Companionで、社内Lotus Notesサーバーへアクセスして、電子メールやカレンダー、連絡先など暗号化された情報を閲覧できます。
とはいっても、アプリ自体は4月時点で見覚えがありますし、現行版1.6.1では通常のiPhoneアプリなので、iPadでの動作も問題ないようにしたということでしょうか(´・ω・｀)。
