Mac OS X用のアプリ通知（Notification）拡張「Growl」と連携してiPhoneにもプッシュ通知する「Prowl: Growl Client」（350円）が 1.1 にアップデートされました。
【Update】WIndows版Growlが現在ベータリリース。7月頃Prowlにも対応しているようですね。

このバージョンでは、サウンドエフェクト通知の追加や、プッシュ通知を開く際に異なるアプリを起動できるようになる「Redirections」機能の追加、指定時間だけサウンドやアラートを無効にしてバッジ表示の数字のみ更新する「Quiet hours」機能の追加などが行われています。
その他、以下の変更があります。

- Faster initial loading of notifications
- Notifications are now always expanded in the list
- Fix various UI bugs that occoured while editing
- Fix the sound playing the wrong sound while open
- Fix scrolling speed to be a bit faster
また、Mac側でGrowl用プラグイン「Prowl.growlView」（無料）のインストールも必要ですが、こちらも 1.0.4 にアップデートして、設定オプションが追加されているなど変更があります。
Version 1.0.4 changes:
- Added a "prefix" option which is used when sending notifications to Prowl.
- Added "only send to Prowl when the screensaver is active" preference.
- Fixed the default "redirect" style saying "Smoke" but actually not doing anything.
インストール方法は、ProwlサイトのInstallationをご覧ください。この煩雑さが唯一の欠点ですね。
新規利用の方は、サイトでのユーザー登録もお忘れなく。
Prowlは、基本的に24時間起動しっぱなしのMacがあることが条件なので、iPhoneだけで運用を完結したいような場合は、Twitter用途のみですが「Boxcar」（アプリ料金のみ）や「Tweet Push」（アプリ料金＋サーバー利用料が月額方式）などのプッシュ通知仲介アプリと併用された方が設定も簡単でよいでしょう。
なお、ダウンロードしてちょっと試すだけではわかりませんので、ある程度の期間常用している方の評価を確認しておくと確実かと思います。
